Training & Education

Overview

The third key building block of CPISC research activities is training and education. Through a variety of initiatives, CPISC will map existing education and training available to the industry and assess how it matches industry needs. Through this analysis, CPISC will be able to identify areas for change. Discussions with industry representatives will then be used to explore various training delivery models and come up with options that meet the needs of all companies, regardless of size. The result will be a clear strategy for working with education and training providers to make adjustments to existing training programs.

Our first step, the CPISC Report on Education and Training Programs and Providers for the Printing and Graphic Communications Industry, was released in November 2007. To find out more about this process and to view the report, click here.

Over the next year, CPISC will build on the results of this review by conducting a learning needs assessment and gap analysis for the sector. In addition, the Training Needs Assessment project will explore a range of training delivery models and options and determine and document the most effective training delivery models for the sector.
